Data Scientist

Key Role:

Use the latest technologies and create analytic tools and prototypes that support scientific analyses and visualizations. Analyze operational capabilities related to IT functionality, focusing on integration and interoperability issues. Perform research, analysis, and visualization design support related to user stories and requirements, portfolio management, and programmatic risk and health. Develop cutting edge scientific analyses, simulations, and data visualizations.


Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with visualization technologies, including ESRI, Google Earth, kml and .kmz, and ArcGIS

-3 years of experience in working with technological scripts and programming language, including R, Python, Java, HTML, Jive, XML, Perl, .NET framework, SQL, or C#

-Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms

-Experience with using R, Perl, Python, SAS, or SPSS for data analysis

-Knowledge of Cloud analytics

-Knowledge of visualization and design techniques

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the design and development of an object–oriented system

-Experience with developing solutions and integrating, extending, and contributing to open–source software

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, OneNote, Access, SharePoint 2007, and SharePoint 2010

-Experience with modeling and simulation capabilities and programs

-Experience with national or tactical ISR

-Knowledge of an object–oriented language, including Java, C++, C#, or Python

-Knowledge of deep neural networks

-Ability to be self–motivated and work independently and in a team environment

-Ability to display flexibility to adapt to changing situations

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of customer and mission partners

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
