Database Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Perform as a key analyst in a DBA and QA role for an IT software development project. Work with functional team members to understand system requirements and become proficient with tools that collects IT data for 26 federal agencies via XML API submissions. Provide technical and quality assurance support as part of an integrated team of developers by analyzing the technical implications of federal regulatory policy, writing user stories, and identifying and verifying technical defects. Leverage industry best practices to enhance the IT data collections instrument.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with writing and optimizing SQL statements and stored procedures

-Experience with recent versions of MySQL

-Experience with troubleshooting data integrity issues

-Experience with XML and RESTful APIs

-Experience with quality assurance on a software development project

-Experience with Agile development

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with other SQL and NoSQL databases

-Experience with the SDLC and technologies, including C# or Python

-Experience with automated testing

-Experience with business analyst activities

-Ability to work with different teams and across organizations to present and communicate analytical findings on an independent basis

-Ability to work independently in a high volume, fast-paced environment

-Ability to multi-task

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent interpersonal and time management skills
