Defense Operations Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Make recommendations and provide guidance on organization-wide system improvements and optimization efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, communications protocols, risk management and electronic analysis, and network threat analysis. Analyze or edit operational plans (OPLANs), operational orders (OPORDs), and fragmentary orders (FRAGOs), participate in Joint Planning Groups and Operational Teams (JPGs/OPTs), develop and integrate DoD Information Network (DoDIN) and defensive Cyberspace capabilities into plans. Support action officers with planning and remain cognizant of missions and priorities. Assist with planning, research, and analysis of DoD Cyberspace policy, analysis of Cyberspace events and operations, provide specialized expertise in areas that include Cybersecurity Service Providers (CSSPs), Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysis, and vulnerability analysis. Assist with the management of command-level Cyber inspections and vulnerability of Cyber requirements, conduct technical analysis, and provide reports on the integration of Cyber requirements, capabilities, and training.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience as a staff planner, including tactical and operational work

-Experience with information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, communications protocols, risk management, and electronic and network threat analyses

-Experience with planning, research, and analysis of DoD Cyberspace policy and analysis of Cyberspace events and operations

-Ability to draft or edit OPLANs, OPORDs, and FRAGOs

-Ability to conduct technical analysis and provide reports on the integration of Cyber requirements, capabilities, and training

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience with military Cyberspace operations and the military planning process or BA or BS degree in IT and 3+ years of experience with military Cyberspace operations

Additional Qualifications:

-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred

-BS degree in an IT-related field preferred; MS degree in an IT-related field a plus

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
