Defense Planning Scenario Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Research and develop solutions to integrate DoD analytical products into Combatant Command (CCMD) missions. Coordinate with all applicable stakeholder, including other CCMDs, DoD, Allied partners, other federal and non-federal agencies to ensure CCMD equities are integrated into study concepts. Analyze and integrate CCMD strategic enablers into Defense Planning Scenarios (DPS), Multi Service Force Deployment (MSFD), and associated Defense Planning and Analytical Community (DPAC) activities and products. Provide analytical foundation, including scenarios and scenario excursions by coordinating with CCMD and other DoD component study teams to ensure the studies provide clear traceability to approved DoD analytical products. Research force element and enabler databases and integrate the identified data into existing data stores to support advanced analytical methodologies. Support advance and improve analysis of force enablers and multipliers in DoD analysis, including nuclear, space, command and control, and electronic warfare.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with Defense Planning and Analytical Community (DPAC), Support to Strategic Analysis (SSA) and Analytic Agenda (AA) activities and procedures, including efforts to evolve products to accurately represent today's national security environment

-5+ years of experience at the Combatant Command level, including participating in DPAC, SSA and AA forums with OSD, Joint Staff and Service organizations

-TS/SCI clearance

-BS degree or 8+ years of experience with Defense Planning Scenarios at the Combatant Command level

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of national, DoD, and Joint guidance, including unified command plan responsibilities and Joint Force operations

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent listening skills
