Design Strategist, Senior

Key Role:

Leverage expertise in communication and envision service concepts on client-facing projects across a variety of platforms. Maintain responsibility for the delivery of projects in industries ranging from healthcare and finance to the public sector. Prepare and create journey maps to identify points of improvement or design a system to measure client experience. Apply expertise to comprehending generative and evaluative user research to weave multiple stakeholders into the project plan easily. Assist with defining project scope and work with the program manager to respond to rapidly changing environments proactively. Apply expertise in a mix of left and right-brain thinking to guiding the production of high-quality deliverables, including progress reports, journey maps, service blueprints, and interactive prototypes. Assist the team with looking at problems from different points of view, including translating human-centered insights into solutions to better people's lives by leveraging expertise from Booz Allen digital, including data scientists, UX/UI designers, and illustrators.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with developing and educating internal and external clients on creative strategy and implementation

-2+ years of experience with user experience, service design, design thinking, design research, business design, or customer experience

-Experience in consulting, facilitation, or training environments

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with communicating visually using tools, including AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator a plus

-Experience with business modeling, research and analytics, and development a plus

-Ability to be inspiring, open-minded, hardworking, collaborative, and thoughtful

-Experience with client negotiation and setting expectations against real-world limitations

-BA or BS degree in Design, Anthropology, Sociology, Business, or a related field preferred
