Developer and Data Scientist

Key Role:

Leverage expertise in software development and programming, Big Data, and Cloud computing technologies to develop new applications that ingest external data, including real-time data feeds, and manipulate the data into a user-friendly format. Apply expertise in virtual and parallel computing environments to ensure proper implementation and usage of the algorithms. Develop machine learning, data mining, and statistical and graph-based algorithms designed to analyze massive data sets. Leverage statistical knowledge, including applying statistics to predictive analytics, sentiment analysis, and probabilistic modeling to extract insights from data. Interact with the client directly, including suggesting application advancement paths, explaining capability enhancements, and describing roadblocks to task progression.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with using SQL, Python, or Visual Basic for creating automated custom scripts and applications

-Knowledge of data processing at scale, including the use of Cloud environments, such as Amazon EC2, and data processing engines, such as Hadoop and Storm

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
