Electrical Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Help develop specifications in terms of effectiveness, quality, efficiency, performance, and suitability of systems for Expeditionary and Operations missions. Assist with technical review, research, and development of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) with regard to components and systems. Support efforts in the areas of Test and Evaluation (T&E) and in-service engineering for mission systems and munitions. Assess the interface compatibility of software, hardware, and firmware. Support the design of prototype systems, components, and test equipment. Conduct failure analysis and investigations when systems problems arise from an electrical engineering standpoint. Provide field engineering to support testing of systems, as needed, and work closely with T&E, systems and sustainment engineers in a team environment. This position is located in Temecula, CA.   


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in an electrical or systems engineering field, including a focus on weapons systems, platforms, or munitions

-Experience in working with military customers in a Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) environment

-Ability to travel up to test ranges up to 10% of the time

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree in Engineering


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with electrical engineering at the system level down to the component, software, firmware, and interface level a plus

-Experience with supporting Expeditionary Marine or Forces preferred

-Experience in working with sensor and communications systems or military aerial, ground, and waterborne vehicles a plus

-Possession of excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, including an eye towards improving systems performance or suitability for various applications

-BA or BS degree in EE
-Hazardous Materials or Munitions Handling certifications a plus


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
