Energy Project Manager

Key Role:

Lead coordination of multi-disciplinary team support project identification, evaluation, and development. Review technical details, financial analysis, and other reports or information to guide project development and recommendations. Leverage expertise related to utility industry, energy technology, markets, finance, and approaches to DoD energy projects in consideration of program goals and policies. Advise DoD clients on their project development process, strategic engagements with industry, and other program level activities that promote the program’s successful engagement with the industry. This position requires travel up to 25% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in the energy industry, including conducting technical development of large-scale energy generation projects and conservation measures

-5+ years of experience with project management, including managing complex projects with technical, business, policy, and operational considerations

-Experience with planning or implementing energy contracts, real estate instruments, or other acquisition mechanisms and planning associated workstreams, meetings, and executive engagements

-Experience with managing multi-disciplinary teams and parallel project development workstreams and activities  

-Ability to navigate complex technical concepts, market structures, and stakeholder equities to recommend clear paths for project execution to clients

-Ability to manage complex data and economic analysis and present findings to a variety of technical and senior audiences in a clear, comprehensive manner

-Ability to support US travel of up to 25%

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working with DoD installations on energy-related technology, financial, and government contracting issues 

-Experience with federal project management

-Experience with military clients preferred

-Experience with meeting and workshop planning preferred

-Knowledge of energy technologies, including energy efficiency measures, renewable energy, resilient energy architectures or traditional energy generation

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including presenting complex energy data to non–technical senior audiences

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent presentation skills

-Secret clearance preferred

-MA or MS degree preferred
