Enterprise Network Architect

Key Role:

Design modern and complex mesh computing environments across Air Force, Cyber, and Space DoD partners. Analyze and plan network topologies, data, and capacity requirements to ensure data and applications are ready for advanced warfare. Lead capability acquisition of hyperconvergence and failover while architecting network designs, topologies, and procedures for feasibility and performance analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience as a network engineer, network architect, network administrator, network systems architect, network solutions architect, or network design architect

-Experience with hybrid Cloud networking and hyperconverged network stacks

-Experience with multiple technologies and approaches to implement high-availability and clustered failover solutions across distributed networks

-Experience with developing disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) architectures for sustaining enterprise applications through total datacenter loss

-Experience with the analysis and organization of corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling and planning

-Experience with the design, test, and inspection of the DoD or intelligence Ccmmunity (IC) computer data communications systems, including wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs), and the Internet

-Knowledge of edge and mesh computing principles and the unique security and network challenges they present

-Knowledge of design patterns for planning modern, cross-network architectures and bridging strategies

-Ability to lead network due diligence, problem deconstruction, deterministic requirements planning, and solution advocacy across a diverse set of stakeholders

-TS/SCI clearance required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with critical abstraction layers between secure networks

-Experience with determining specific network hardware or software requirements, including platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routing schemas

-Knowledge of multi-level security for DoD networks and applications

-Knowledge with capacity planning to adjust network sizes to meet volume or surge demands

-Ability to ensure network integration across all components, including ATM, IP routers, circuit switches, traffic shapers, cache servers, and gateways

-Ability to communicate with clients, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine client needs

-Ability to coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades

-Ability to develop and implement solutions for network problems

-Ability to develop conceptual, logical, or physical network designs

-Ability to develop procedures to track and report network availability, reliability, capacity, or usage

-Ability to develop or recommend network security measures, including firewalls, network security audits, or automated security probes

-Ability to evaluate network designs to determine if requirements are met efficiently and effectively

-Ability to comprehend, embrace, and implement IC business transformation, processes, and structures

-Ability to develop and tailor architecture briefings and responses to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and other senior IC executives

-Ability to communicate with external organizations to gain expertise in other enterprise architectures

-Ability to develop calculus on total cost of ownership and help clients with financial responsibility for developed network models

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, IT, CS, or Information Systems

-CCNA, CISSP, or Security+ Certification a plus
