Enterprise Patch and Scan Administrator

The Challenge:

We’re looking for a systems administrator who can monitor and maintain the security posture of the enterprise to help us administer and manage some of the Navy’s most critical applications, computer assets, workstations, servers, and systems.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll ensure applications and servers are compliant with FISMA, AV application IAVM, IAVA, IAVB, AD policies, application CTOs, and INFOCONs. You’ll create and manage any required mitigation statements for the exceptions STIGs and perform period STIG checks, as required. You’ll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in Cyber defense compliance and accreditation services. You Have:

-4+ years of experience with connectivity, interoperability, operational readiness, and security and compliance systems maintenance

-Experience with Security Configuration Compliance, Information Assurance Vulnerability Manager (IAVM), Information Assurance Vulnerability (IAV), Assurance Vulnerability Alert (*AVA), IAV bulletins, security technical implementation guide (STIG), and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)

-Experience with installation and problem detection, resolution, and maintenance on Microsoft Server 2012, 2008 R2, Microsoft IIS 7.0 and newer, Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10, and Internet Explorer 11.0

-Experience with Symantec Management Platform, Altiris, ACAS, McAfee Host-Based Security System (HBSS), and Microsoft Active Directory and group policies

-Experience with systems, hardware, and software administration and integration

-Experience with routine maintenance, including break and fix, backup and recovery, and inventory and asset management

-Active Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with multi-media systems support and community of interest (COI) network operations

-Experience with local group policy management and file share, system, and account administration

-Experience with configuration and change management and life cycle support

-Experience with workstation and server hardware installation, maintenance, board replacement, and cable switching

-Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting

-Knowledge of system development, software maintenance, and ancillary functions

-Knowledge of Cyber defense compliance and accreditation services

-Knowledge of connecting non-Navy workstations to the network system

-Knowledge of service management processes and procedures, including change, incident, and problems

-Ability to perform onsite service center support

-Ability to triage scenarios and bring to subject matter experts for problem resolution

-Ability to document all work in approved tracking systems

-Possession of excellent organizational and customer service skills
