Exercise Planner Lead

Key Role:
Apply knowledge of how to organize diverse groups to build shared comprehension of complex challenges and facilitate collective problem solving, analysis, and implementation of new solutions and best practices. Work with clients to monitor and review the systematic activities implemented in an organizational system so that mission requirements for a product or service will be fulfilled. Advise on corresponding data analysis to design relevant, accurate, and realistic exercise materials that result in improved organizational mission performance. Deliver exercise events that allow clients to discuss process initiatives and confirm viability or events that allow clients to physically practice and execute processes to confirm efficiency and comprehension of performance and output expectations. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior employees and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly creative solutions. Act as leader on large programs or projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience as a military exercise planner
-Knowledge of Army Readiness standards, logistics, and the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP)
-Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED and 9 years of experience with military planning, AA or AS degree and 7 years of experience with military planning, or BA or BS degree and 5 years of experience with military planning

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience at the CORPs or ACOM staff level
-Experience with Joint exercise planning
-Knowledge of EDRE planning
-Knowledge of the N-Hour Sequence
-Knowledge of exercise planning, assessments of exercises, and tasking requirements
-Knowledge of the deliberate and contingency processes for deployment
-Knowledge of exercise planning systems, including TC-AIMS II, GATES, ICODES, CMOS, IBS, JOPES, SMS, CAMPS, IGC, ACAMS, COMPASS, and RFITV
-Knowledge of the Army Message Handling System (AMHS)
-Knowledge of standard Microsoft Office products
-Ability to write military orders
-Ability to build relationships and communicate internally and externally to the organization effectively both orally and in writing
-Top Secret clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
