Facilities Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Plan, schedule, and budget determinations and perform complex facility planning and scheduling tasks guided by a basic plan and general supervision. Maintain primary responsibility for the definition of requirements and selection of approaches to solutions. Develop new or unusual solutions based on advanced principles within the facilities and construction trades and work with extensive freedom for independent action. Estimate, plan, schedule, prepare layouts, coordinate, follow-up, and report on major facility and maintenance projects, new construction and modifications. Prepare facilities estimates and site proposals for management review as to cost and feasibility and plan and schedule approved projects for completion by in-house personnel and outside contractors. Coordinate all phases between user, plant resources, outside vendors, and contractors to accomplish desired results in an economic and timely manner. Conduct follow-up on cost, budgets, job control, material, tools and items that pertain to projects and compile and present reports regarding schedule progress, cost analysis, and forecast.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with managing a geographically dispersed group of projects successfully

-Experience in working with Army or Navy clients as a design agent for military construction (MILCON) projects

-Experience with the client's budget submission process

-Knowledge of DoD MILCON program execution, including MILCON planning, programming, cost estimating, design, and construction

-Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Military Specifications (MilSpecs), and other DoD facilities planning and programming standards

-Ability to review facility design documents, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and IT drawings.

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with military medical facilities preferred

-BS degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; MS degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field a plus

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
