Financial Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Contribute to a team engaged on DoD business intelligence, data analytics, and financial management activities to help the team achieve client objectives. Apply knowledge of federal financial management, accounting, or audit principles to assist teams in a wide variety of reviews and analyses of business processes, systems, and transactions impacting DoD's business processes and financial statements. Work in a collaborative team environment and interact with internal teams and client leadership on a regular basis to accomplish project objectives. Leverage project management expertise in client engagements and project work streams, including developing plans and approaches and overseeing project delivery. Directly contribute through delivery of assigned tasks and providing guidance to fellow team members.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with performing federal financial statement audits or supporting DoD financial management activities, including accounting, budget planning or execution, and financial system implementation

-Experience with analyzing financial transactions, financial systems, and business process documentation

-Experience with briefing key high-level stakeholders, including portfolio and project managers within a contractor team and high-level SES clients and customers

-Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

-Knowledge of key DoD financial systems used to record general ledger details, report department financials, including DDRS, and provide feeder transaction data to general ledger systems

-Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, or similar accounting principles

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with leading teams and managing projects, including project staff, budgets, and client relationships

-Experience in the DoD or Department of Navy (DON) preferred

-Ability to adapt and excel in the culture with a high degree of ambiguity

-Possession of excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-CPA, CDFM, PMP, or Agile Project Management Certification a plus
