Force Management Analyst

Key Role:

Analyze mid to long term strategic and operational plans to identify, develop, and produce recommendations for management and employment of military forces and analyze client and higher headquarters (HHQ) plans, orders, and operational guidance. Facilitate the development of associated documents that enhance decision making, facilitate the transition of plans towards execution, analyze and manage the assignment of globally sourced forces to the client, and identify and analyze concerns associated with future force disposition, including discrepancies with rotational dates, cost factors, logistics issues, suitability or readiness for deployment, and mission-specific assessments. Facilitate and manage client aviation plans, identify and analyze issues, and recommend solutions for client aviation plans and operations for all functions of marine aviation and deployment of aviation units. Facilitate planning and operational analysis for operational and contingency plans, identify and analyze issues, and recommend solutions regarding the employment of assigned forces for operational and contingency plans. Facilitate planning and operational analysis for a naval integration client, recommend solutions to critical issues and force optimization, and identify and analyze issues, and recommend solutions regarding military forces' integration, training, and operations with naval partners. Attend periodic marine and naval forums to gain insight and participate in discussion and maintain cognizance of, analyze, and comprehend operational and strategic level guidance, policy, and orders to recommend solutions and criteria to facilitate decision making or further analysis. Analyze issues and recommend solutions where appropriate with regards to HHQs, Service level, DoD strategy and plans documents, determine associated client equity, formulate an appropriate recommended response or solution, where necessary, or facilitate further staff analysis and decision making.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Marine Corps Operating Forces

-Experience with participating in USMC Global Force Management and Force Synchronization processes

-Experience as planner for large multi-national events requiring coordination with multiple organizations and departments

-Experience on high-level USMC headquarters staff

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Joint Staff or Combatant Commands a plus

-Knowledge of security cooperation authorities and terminology

-Knowledge of DoD, and international organizations

-Career-level USMC formal schooling related to Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) operations, including EWS a plus
