Force Posture Integration SME

Key Role:

Serve as a staff strategic advisor to analyze, organize, and assess government force posture efforts that enhance readiness and survivability of Air Component warfighters in the execution of their missions in the Indo-Pacific region. Analyze PACAF’s current force posture informed by long-term strategy and plans and make recommendations for achievable NDS-aligned set for the theater objectives out to 2030. Synchronize related security cooperation planning efforts within the PACAF Staff and between HQ PACAF, USINDOPACOM, and other service components to develop actionable item lists that align staff efforts and create long-term strategic competition. Provide Command-level recommendations to decision makers concerning long-range plans, infrastructure improvement, and air base resiliency while informing budget decisions. Integrate efforts into USINDOPACOM theater posture plans and roadmaps, force movement CONOPS, strategy support plans, and site survey prioritization. Coordinate and facilitate meetings, conferences, and planning teams. Coordinate with OSD, USINDOPACOM, service components, foreign counterparts, and Air Force forces.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with long-range plans, programs, policy, and strategy

-Experience as staff at the NAF, PACAF, COCOM, or an equivalent level

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint

-Knowledge of the INDOPACOM AOR and Force Posture Planning Concepts, including Forces, Footprints, and Agreements

-Ability to lead and facilitate military OPTs

-Ability to work collaboratively with other services and foreign governments and militaries

-Ability to brief high-level program initiatives at the COCOM level

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with rated aviation preferred

-Experience with the Military Construction (MILCON) process, facilities planning, and infrastructure improvement

-Knowledge of Air Force organization, tasks, operational capabilities, concepts of operations, and training requirements

-Knowledge of Combined Information Data Network Exchange (CIDNE)

-Top Secret clearance preferred

-MA or MS degree preferred
