Foreign Language Linguist, Mid

Key Role:
Apply linguistic and cultural expertise and employ independent research and analysis techniques to support a DoD mission. Leverage knowledge of the language, culture, politics, military, economy, and current events of Eastern European-speaking regions to produce high quality translations, gists, and sight translations of Eastern European material, provide quality control of others' translations, and guide operational tactics and methodologies in a high optempo environment. Identify and compile information to author accurate, articulate, time sensitive products on a wide range of topics in support of client requirements. Assist with the development of sound operational tools and strategies. Participate in senior-level briefings and meetings and provide context and subject matter expertise to key decision makers.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with performing written Russian language-to-English translation
-Knowledge of Eastern European culture, politics, military, economy, current events, and psychology
-Knowledge of standard Adobe and Microsoft Office products
-Ability to demonstrate professional-level proficiency in Russian language and English and perform at Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 3 or above in listening, reading, speaking, and writing in an Eastern European language
-Ability to produce client-ready, time sensitive products and reports per client requirements
-Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that may on occasion require working non-standard hours
-TS/SCI clearance required
-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with DoD CI and collection initiatives or programs
-Experience in a counterintelligence or HUMINT role
-Experience with Cyber threat analysis or computer network operations
-Experience with US counter threat operations and analysis
-Experience with social networking platforms, applications, and trends
-Experience with additional languages or specific regional expertise a plus
-BA or BS degree preferred
