Government Contracts Attorney

Key Role:

Partner with clients to solve their most difficult challenges through a combination of expertise in consulting, analytics, mission operations, technology, systems delivery, Cybersecurity, engineering, and innovation. Serve as a government contracts attorney with a solid background in federal procurement transactions to join the legal department. Practice as a member of the government contracts practice group in a team of attorneys that support the federal business across civil, defense, and intelligence markets. Serve as a lead account attorney, work on a wide range of complex issues at the prime and subcontract level, provide risk reviews, and assist with a variety of government contract and legal department initiatives. 

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with US government contracting, including in-house work

-Experience with the FAR, DFARS, Procurement Integrity Act, protests and interventions, OCI and PCI, mandatory and voluntary disclosures, Competition in Contracting Act, bid protest process, DCAA cost accounting and pricing principles, novations, investigations, and claims

-Ability to demonstrate success in managing high stakes, complex legal matters

-Ability to be a self-starter who can handle multitude of challenging situations

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-JD degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in a large law firm or corporate law department, including government work

-Experience with the intelligence community (IC) preferred

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent counseling, organizational, and analytical skills

-Top Secret clearance preferred; TS/SCI clearance a plus
