Guidance, Navigation, Control Weapons Systems Engineer

The Challenge:

Leverage knowledge to support Guidance, Navigation, Control (GNC) activities during the engineering and development phase of an advanced weapon program, such as hypersonic. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to review and communicate all GNC work efforts by the prime contractor of the Government team

Our team communicates and interfaces with the prime contractor, sub-system suppliers, and any other government stakeholders to meet program objectives, including performing in-depth review of the prime contractor’s 6-DOF. We interact with program Systems Engineers to ensure GNC designs meet program needs.  That’s why we need you, an electrical engineer who’s highly educated and has extensive GNC experience to help us design and develop the state of the art in advanced weapon systems. You’ll serve as Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead for a multi-disciplinary team, including government and support contractors, and the prime contractor You’ll provide systems engineering activities including risk mgt, configuration mgt, requirements development and verification support. You’ll provide schedule and action item development, oversight with a focus on GNC. Support weapon program gates, including Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR) and Test Readiness Review (TRR). You’ll directly impact national defense. We’ll also look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in GNC while broadening your skillset into areas like Systems Engineering. You Have:

-Experience with embedded software system requirements analysis, risk assessment, design, development, integration, or testing

-Experience with computer application, including MATLAB, Simulink, Mathematica, C, C++, and other analytical tools

-Experience with simulator and hardware test development and execution, including mission operations

-Experience with developing algorithms to support unique mission requirements

-Experience with working through different technical opinions, evolving customer needs, challenging budgets and schedules, and limited resources

-Ability to conduct detailed analysis to verify mission requirements and write detail oriented effective and verifiable requirements

-Secret clearance

-MS degree in Engineering or Science with 15+ years of experience with GNC or PhD degree in Engineering or Science with 5+ years of experience with GNC
