Health Operations Consultant, Senior

Key Role:  
Support federal healthcare systems by applying comprehension of the analysis process for performance, procedures, and processes of complex health systems that improve both efficiency and effectiveness and address priority operational challenges. Advise on the delivery of operational solutions and ongoing performance management to help achieve operational excellence, quality, and safety, including a spectrum of operational environments across the provider, payer, research, and life science and public health segments. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.  Direct the client relationship on military health improvement initiatives. Serve as a technical expert leading a team to guide strategy, implementation, and sustainment of healthcare transformation. Focus on strategic client engagement.

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience in federal, civil, or commercial healthcare systems, including clinical quality and healthcare operations
-5+ years of experience with project management, including quality and risk and managing scope, timelines, performance management, strategy, and outcomes

-6+ years of experience with leading, delivering, and providing transformation, optimization, or performance management in healthcare or military organizations
-4+ years of experience with managing staff directly or in a project-based role

-Experience with patient safety or high reliability

-Experience with building and maintaining client relationships in a team-based government or management consulting environment
-Ability to work independently and in large delivery teams, prioritize workload to meet demands, be well organized and proactive, and define courses of action to enable decision making
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-MD, MSN, MHA, MPH, or MBA degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with leading and delivering management consulting services to the federal government or commercial hospitals

-Experience with military service
-Ability to translate information, develop insights, and work alongside clients at client sites
-Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment
-Possession of excellent leadership, analysis, and data gathering skills
-Possession of excellent business development skills, including proposals and marketing
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including conducting presentations and working with executives and diverse teams
-Healthcare or Project Management-related certifications preferred
