Help Desk Engineer, Mid

Key Role:
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve all problems with application client and server software, operating system software, and server, workstation, or peripheral hardware components. Monitor and respond to hardware, software, and network problems using hardware and software testing tools and techniques. Interface with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Assist with the installation of new systems and associated hardware. Provide user training for hardware and software products. Install, maintain, and operate MilSpec audio and video systems to extend capabilities during conference events. Perform duties as the telephone control officer in accordance with Army policies and guidelines.  Assist the security manager with both physical security, and clearance verification duties in the Joint Personnel Access Security (JPAS) system.

Basic Qualifications: 
-3+ years of experience as a network, software, or hardware engineer

-Experience as a knowledge manager

-Ability to perform telephone control officer duties

-Ability to conduct physical security and clearance verification duties using JPAS

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications: 
-Experience with physical security and clearance verification
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree a plus
