Housing and Engineering Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:

Support the Army’s Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management’s (OACSIM) Housing Division. Provide engineering, analysis, and research support. Conduct data analysis and technical updates of Installation Status Report (ISR), Headquarters Installations Information System (HQIIS), Real Property Planning and Analysis System (RPLANS), and electronic Military Housing (eMH). Provide dedicated support to the OACSIM-Installation Services Housing (ISH) division to support Strategic Readiness (SRU), Army Strategic Readiness (ASRA) and develop various senior leader briefings, including ASD IE&E Brief, OSD Comptroller Brief, MILCON Staffer’s Brief, and POM UH and AFH Exhibits. Conduct analysis of all inventory databases, including RPLANS, HQIIS, ISR, and eMH by providing an in-depth review of buildings, building types, condition, and age and compare the various databases to identify data anomalies across the databases. Review key program metrics, including inventory, requirement, condition, improvement, and investment requirements based on Army housing standards and requirements and provide an assessment of these metrics with suggestions for facility improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with facilities engineering, master planning, and database management

-Experience with DoD real property life cycle business policies, practices, and procedures

-Secret clearance required

-HS diploma or GED required

-Registered Professional Engineer and either Energy Manager Certified or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the Army installations systems of record, including Installations Status Report (ISR), Headquarters Installations Information System (HQIIS), and Electronic Military Housing (eMH)

-BA or BS degree preferred

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
