HR Business Partner/Manager, Senior

Key Role:
Collaborate on the identification of strategies to proactively drive a positive employee experience and increase attraction and retention of scarce and differentiated talent, champion change for the Account, develop strategies and communications to enable culture change in a rapidly growing business unit, and drive the adoption of talent programs and processes, including diversity and inclusion tactics. Conduct senior staff talent planning, succession planning, reviews and deployment activities within the account team, engage in highly complex senior staff issues with leaders through to issue resolution and resulting actions, drive recruiting and resource management strategies in collaboration with corporate CoE teams, and collaborate on the design and delivery of talent programs with People Services CoEs. Develop and update people policies for the firm that align with health consulting best practices while remaining compliant with the firms policies and engage with stakeholders to proactively identify and manage talent risks, lead People Services activities associated with any mergers and acquisitions that may occur, including people diligence, integration planning, and post-merger integration, leverage business acumen and analytics to document and articulate business cases, and tell a story while serving as an internal consultant to business and account leaders. Leverage expertise in working with stakeholders to evaluate business challenges, identify opportunities for change initiatives, and build ongoing support for solutions that meet the changing needs of the business, and translate business requirements to Corporate CoEs who will develop corresponding programs and ensure partnerships with CoE’s to socialize, implement, and manage associated changes. Partner with business leaders to comprehend business environment, travel to sites regularly to scan the business environment, facilitate staff focus groups on relevant topics, drive greater engagement and assess risk, follow up to drive issue resolution and closure, advise and influence leaders regarding risk issues, drive strategies to address them, including promotion analysis, capacity and crisis management, and build and maintain a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, performance feedback, team building, and succession planning, including serving as a champion of change and driving the adoption of new approaches, ideas, programs, and technologies. This role may be delivered from any Booz Allen office in the DC metro area.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience as an HR business partner in a large, complex corporate environment
-Experience with using facts and analytics to comprehend trends and develop solutions that lead to a measurable impact on an organization
-Ability to apply expertise in leadership and consulting to engaging with senior leaders and leading teams effectively
-Ability to lead through change
-Ability to be results driven and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, peers, and employees
-Ability to work from any Booz Allen office in the DC metro area
-Ability to travel 10-25% of the time, including all DC offices regardless of alignment to any one DC based offices, such as DC, Rockville, or McLean, as needed
-BA or BS degree in HR, Business Administration, or Organizational Development
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with functional work, including policies, procedures, training, compensation, benefits, performance management, recruiting, and resource management
-Experience with problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision making
-Knowledge of human capital technologies, including Workday
-Ability to show leadership agility, judgment, and influence and solve complex people-related challenges
-Ability to leverage analytical thinking and develop and articulate business case or story
-Ability to show business acumen, including expertise in the market or account, such as opportunity pipelines and staffing plans
-Ability to comprehend labor market trends and the competitive environment
-Ability to comprehend and assess business challenges, support change initiatives, and develop and implement solutions that meet the needs of the business and employees
-Ability to use risk identification, management, and resolution to address and inform key strategies
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including writing clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings, getting messages across that have the intended impact, being effective at building briefings and presentations with large and small groups with peers and executives, and to change tactics midstream, if needed
-Possession of excellent advisory and consultative skills
