HR Business Partner/Manager, Senior

Key Role:

Collaborate in the identification of strategies to proactively drive a positive employee experience and increase attraction and retention of scarce and differentiated talent and champion change for the account and develop strategies and communications to enable culture change in a rapidly growing business unit and drive adoption of talent programs and processes, including diversity and inclusion tactics. Conduct senior staff talent planning, succession planning, reviews and deployment activities within account team and engage in highly complex senior staff issues with leaders through to issue resolution and resulting actions, and drive recruiting and resource management strategies in collaboration with corporate CoE teams and collaborate with People Services CoEs in the design and delivery of talent programs. Develop and update people related policies that align with Federal consulting best practices while remaining compliant with the firm’s policies and engage with stakeholders to proactively identify and manage talent risks. oversee People Services related activities associated with any mergers and acquisitions that may occur, including people related diligence, integration planning and post-merger integration, leverage business acumen and analytics to document and articulate business case and tell a story while serving as an internal consultant to business and account leaders. Leverage expertise to work with stakeholders to evaluate business challenges, identify opportunities for change initiatives, and build ongoing support for solutions that meet the changing needs of the business, and translate business requirements to Corporate CoE’s to develop corresponding programs and ensure partnership with CoE’s to socialize, implement and manage associated changes. Partner with business leaders to comprehend business environment, travel to sites regularly to scan the business environment, facilitate staff focus groups on relevant topics, drive greater engagement and assess risk, and follow up to drive issue resolution, closure and advise and influence leaders regarding risk issues and drive strategies to address, including promotion analysis, capacity and crisis management. Build and maintain an excellent functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, performance feedback, team building, and succession planning, and serve as a champion of change and drive adoption of new approaches, ideas, programs, and technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience as a HR business partner in a large and complex corporate environment

-Experience using facts and analytics to understand trends and develop solutions that lead to measurable impact on an organization

-Ability to show comfort and confidence in leading through change

-Ability to be results driven and positioned yourself as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, peers and employees

-Ability to work from any Booz Allen office in the DC metro area

-Ability to travel 10-25% of time to all DC offices regardless of alignment to any one DC based offices, including Rockville or McLean  

-BA or BS degree in human resources, business administration or organizational development

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Human Capital technologies, including Workday

-Knowledge of business acumen, including market and account opportunity pipeline, and staffing plans

-Knowledge of labor market trends and the competitive environment

-Knowledge of assessing business challenges, supporting change initiatives, and developing and implement solutions that meet the needs of the business and employees

-Knowledge of risk identification, management and resolution to address and inform key strategies

-Ability to show leadership agility, judgment and influence

-Ability to show functional expertise, including policies, procedures, training, compensation, benefits, performance management, recruiting, and resource management

-Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings, convey messages across with intended impact

-Ability to create briefings and presentations with large and small groups with peers, executives

-Ability to adapt and change tactics midstream, if needed

-Possession of excellent leadership and consulting skills to effectively engage with senior leaders and lead teams

-Ability to solve complex people related challenges

-Ability to show analytical thinking expertise, develop and articulate business case and story

-Possession of excellent at problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision making

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
