Information Systems Security Engineer

Key Role:
Design, engineer, integrate, implement, test, deploy, maintain, review, and administer the infrastructure, hardware, and software that are required to effectively manage the security and risk posture of the network and resources. Develop system concepts and apply the systems engineering life cycle to translate strategic Cyber objectives, technology, and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions. Select and apply processes and methodologies to meet Cyber performance objectives. Analyze trends and emerging technology for potential program modernization. Configure Cyber systems to meet user requirements. Support the acquisition of hardware and software, as needed. Provide work leadership to junior employees.

Basic Qualifications: 

-10+ years of experience with technical information assurance (IA) and Cyber engineering architecture, requirements, determination, development, and implementation

-Experience with special access required (SAR) and special access program (SAP) required

-Ability to travel between 5-10 days per month

-TS/SCI clearance required

-MA or MS degree required

-CISSP Certification required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with security systems engineering for hardware and software operating system and application solutions

-Experience with security features or the vulnerability of various operating systems as defined by US Air Force, a national agency, NIST and DoD, and USCYBERCOM

-Experience with IA vulnerability testing

-Experience with implementing DoD and Federal information assurance (IA) assessment and authorization (A&A) processes and IA controls and developing and maintaining associated A&A documentation and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

-Experience in working with US government contract proposals as and IA or security engineering subject matter expert

-Knowledge of system engineering requirements, specifications, and processes

-Knowledge of Controlled Access Program Coordination Office (CAPCO) marking requirements
