Infrastructure Engineer

Key Role:

Support the Army Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS–A) PMO, providing systems engineering support with a focus on IT infrastructure design and management for a highly visible, multi–year transformation effort. Maintain responsibility for reviewing, tracking, and responding to key deliverables from the Systems Integrator (SI), including environmental designs and diagrams, data center disaster recovery plans, bandwidth, and tuning reports. Review or contribute to other defense acquisition milestone documentation, including System Engineering Plan (SEP), as needed. Participate in Working Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs) and respond to Tiger Teams' requests for support. Develop, review, and update Microsoft Visio diagrams and Microsoft PowerPoint slides.


Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with providing DoD IT consulting support in a specialized area, including enterprise services, service–oriented architecture, service development and integration, service governance, knowledge management, systems engineering, service–orientation concepts, or enabling technologies

-4+ years of experience with IT, technology, architecture design, and software development and implementation in an Agile environment, including software development for design, development, testing, deployment, and support

-3+ years of experience with supporting Windows 2012 and Red Hat Linux or Solaris Operating Systems

-Experience with designing and implementing solutions that apply to Cloud, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS capabilities

-Experience with troubleshooting virtual machines and x86 or Sun SPARC hardware and software from client to server levels products.

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Security+ Certification


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with installing and supporting related IT products, including databases and network devices

-Experience with high availability of IT systems and solutions

-Experience with the support, installation, or maintenance of Oracle’s PeopleSoft or another large ERP solution

-Experience with ensuring an application conforms to DoD STIG guidelines

-Experience with PMO client support

-Active Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Information Systems or CS

-RedHat, Sun or Solaris, or Microsoft Operating System Certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
