IT System Acquisition Project Manager, Senior

Key Role:

Serve as a leader and functional expert across the acquisition management life cycle to a military health program office developing and evaluating acquisition strategies for a Major Automated Information System (MAIS) program. Develop an overarching acquisition strategy, including leveraging middle tier acquisition. Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition processes, procedures, and policies. Assess program acquisition health and ensure timely program execution against established baselines, recommending corrective courses of action and program adjustments where needed. Perform milestone or decision review planning and analysis. Prepare status reports for upper management. This position is located on client-site in Arlington, VA.

Basic Qualifications:     

-10+ years of experience with DoD acquisition programs, including MAIS

-Experience with DoD 5000 instructions and the development of associated acquisition documents, including acquisition strategies, acquisition program baselines, and integrated master schedules

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

-Experience with producing client-ready deliverables and managing enterprise-level projects

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree and 14+ years of experience in a professional environment or MA or MS degree

Additional Qualifications           

-Experience with working in an Acquisition Category (ACAT) I program

-Experience with briefing senior leadership

-Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FARs) or DFARS

-Ability to lead a team, work in a team environment, and coordinate tasks with client supervisors in a fast-paced environment

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Secret clearance

-Completion of Programmatic Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Courses, including DAU Acquisition 101 preferred; DAWIA Level II in ACQ, Program Management or higher a plus

-Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
