Logistics Strategist

Key Role:

Serve as a senior logistics strategist, conducting and providing quality control of deliberate, crisis action, and contingency planning, functional plan development and validation, coordination, and integration in conjunction with higher headquarters, components, DoD, USG Interagency and partner nations. Assist in coordinating with USEUCOM components to identify courses of actions to develop the logistics strategy, and mitigating gaps and join to improve logistics posture and increase logistics capability throughout the USEUCOM AOR. Assist, as directed, the logistics working group monthly meetings to ensure that all logistics challenges are identified and capture action item updates from components or office of primary responsibility (OPRs). Assist in the development of logistic products that depict USEUCOM current logistics capability and USEUCOM improved capacity overtime based on projected European deterrence initiative and future year development plan. Provide Joint and combined doctrine, operations, policy and authorities subject matter expertise and integration of lessons learned to support senior leader decision making. Brief theater logistic concerns, issues, and mitigation options at the general officer and flag officer level, and develop talking point papers and talking points for senior military leaders.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with military or government logistics

-5+ years of experience with Joint logistics operations and planning

-Knowledge of logistics methodologies

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent problem-solving skills

-Excellent oral and written communication skills.

-MA or MS degree

-EUCOM AOR operational experience in past 5 years

-School of Advanced Military Studies or Service equivalent graduate

-Command and General Staff College training or equivalent

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
