MagicDraw System Architect/Systems Engineer, Mid

Key Role:
Design, develop, modify, and evaluate complicated and difficult hardware devices or systems. Maintain technical responsibility for planning and conducting technical processes or phases of projects and coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel, drafters, technical writers, and electronics technicians, as required. Analyze and recommend design approaches to new or improved products or processes. Consolidate the results of hardware design elements for assigned projects. Conduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications and requirements. Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Provide work leadership to junior employees. 

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with systems engineering (SE)
-Experience with architecture development using the MagicDraw tool
-Experience with the SE process for system acquisitions, including systems engineering plans, system engineering technical reviews (SETRs), system certification processes, and specialty engineering activities
-Experience with using the architecture of complex systems to create and manage a tailored model-based systems engineering (MBSE) product to support interface management, system interface control documents, system behavior diagrams, including use case and sequence diagrams, and network diagrams, mapping system requirements to physical and functional architecture, and conducting configuration management of various system configurations
-Knowledge of the SE discipline across one or more components of the system development life cycle (SDLC), including concept development, technical planning, requirements development, system analysis, system design, integration, verification, transition, operations, obsolescence, and disposal
-Knowledge of the MagicDraw tool
-Ability to deliver products and services to government clients in the directed energy field
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with requirements management using the DOORS tool
-Experience with planning integration and test events and reporting verification results
-Experience with DoD acquisition
-Knowledge of SETR processes for major milestones and I&T events
-Knowledge of other SE disciplines, including configuration management, risk management, Cybersecurity, and certification processes
-Ability to serve as an action officer
