You Have:

-8+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research related to applied materials science

-8+ years of experience in postdoctoral, academic, or industry roles related to advanced materials

-Experience with the design or application of high temperature materials, including superalloys, ceramics, and carbon matrix composites

-Experience with developing materials or components for harsh service environments, including environments that involve high-temperature, such as turbines, boilers, and heat exchangers, high mechanical loads, such as tools, dies, rolls, gears, and molds, and radiation or corrosive chemicals

-Experience with practicing design for manufacturing (DFM)

-Experience with synthesizing, scaling up the production process, and ensuring quality control for advanced materials

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-PhD degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering

Nice If You Have:

-Experience in a consulting environment a plus

-Experience with metal powder synthesis, sintering, microstructure, and mechanical properties of metal alloys made from metal powders a plus

-Experience with engineering, including design, implementation, validation, and field experimentation of systems a plus

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Ability to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and work in a collaborative team environment

-Ability to be a proactive problem-solver and work independently

-Ability to travel for technical discussions about a variety of applied controls technologies

-Possession of excellent client service, organizational, and analytical skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent time management skills to multi-task efficiently and effectively
