Job Description

Job Number: R0051036

Mechanical/Industrial/Civil Engineer

The Challenge:

What if you could use your engineering skills to transform a DoD client's command, control, and communications (C3) architecture? As a mechanical, industrial, or civil engineer, you understand the operations of complex systems, including electrical and environmental control and cooling and the impacts to mission-critical systems of losing those systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to providing subject matter expertise and fulfilling the personnel requirements of assessment teams that travel within and outside the continental United States in support of DoD requirements. We’re looking for a mechanical, industrial, or civil engineer who can use their skills to complete detailed survivability assessments on assets that directly support client missions. As a subject matter expert with a dynamic assessments schedule, team members can expect to travel between 25-35 percent of the time.

Our team assesses the impacts of natural or man-made Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) effects on critical systems and infrastructure.  That’s why we need you, a mechanical, industrial, or civil engineer, to conduct pre-assessment research and analysis of each site's principal missions, commercial power and utility topology to the installation and site-of-interest, structure and construction, prior survivability assessments, and other aspects that impact overall survivability. With a solid background in the operation of mechanical and industrial systems and how they might be impacted by EMP transients, we need you to help us create detailed post-assessment notes and analysis as well as develop detailed client assessment reports.  Your knowledge and experience will directly impact the survivability of client capabilities by identifying critical capability gaps and recommended solutions.  We’ll look to you to share your engineering expertise through the leadership and mentoring of junior staff.  This is a chance to utilize your experience-based knowledge in assessing the design, testing, and maintenance of mission critical electrical systems while broadening your skillset into areas like nuclear effects protection and mitigation techniques. Join us and take on exciting challenges as we support this unique warfighter mission.
