Military Housing Management Specialist

Key Role:

Analyze schedule and budget determinations and perform complex facility planning and scheduling tasks under general supervision. Maintain responsibility for the definition of requirements and selection of approaches to the solution. Work with extensive freedom for independent action. Provide program management support for all aspects of Air Force (AF) housing operations associated with family housing (FH), unaccompanied housing (UH), general officer homes (GOHs), and furnishings management programs. Assist with policy analysis and maintaining AF guidance, analyze the development and execution of housing budgets and other financial management, and provide input on housing information systems. Interpret and provide advice on the implementation of AF guidance and procedures, review and analyze the development of new housing policy, and provide updates for all AF housing instructions. Provide technical support for military family housing operations and the maintenance budgetary process, including review and analysis of financial plans, Program Objective Memorandum (POM), budget estimate submissions (BES) and President's Budget (PB) documents and exhibits. The position is located in San Antonio, TX with the ability to support remote delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with DoD military housing operations

-Experience with the Enterprise Military Housing (eMH) system

-Ability to interface with and present to an executive level, including general officers and senior executive staff

-Ability to work with teams or independently

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with AF housing operations at the headquarters level, including Major Command or Air Staff 

-Experience with AF NextGen IT solution implementation

-Experience with AF programming and budgetary tools, including ABIDES, RAPIDS, and CRIS

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Completion of the AF Housing Flight Commander Course
