Military IT Site Support Technician, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as IT technical support to electronic classrooms within a Navy training delivery services environment. Maintain responsibility for providing touch labor and remote access technical support for training delivery systems within classified and unclassified domains, including break and fix for local physical workstations, such as virtual machines, file servers, teaching equipment, projectors, smart boards, and print servers. Identify, analyze, and execute the resolution of hardware, software, and network problems, including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining training content software. Perform operating system upgrades, vulnerability patching, system backup and restoration, and network administration and provide Active Directory support for end user accounts. Analyze and maintain site-specific configuration documentation, including installation guides for images and applications, configuration guides for servers and workstations, such as physical or virtual step-by-step work breakdown structures for tasks performed. Maintain responsibility for artifacts development and required certification and accreditation packages, quality assurance of the compliance posture, and compliance with licensing agreements. Use a Navy-designated service management system to record and track all work performed, record detailed and qualified resolutions in the system, and comply with the change request process to ensure changes to the enterprise follow the configuration management (CM) process. 

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with supporting networked IT systems, including ensuring connectivity, interoperability, operational readiness, maintenance, security and compliance

-Experience with systems, hardware, and software administration and integration

-Experience with routine computing system maintenance, including break and fix, vulnerability patching, operating system reimaging, backup and recovery, and inventory and asset management

-Active Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-Security+ or Navy IAT2 CSWF Certification

Additional Qualifications: 

-Experience with Windows server installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting

-Experience with Active Directory, local group policy management, file share, system, and account administration

-Experience with configuration and change management and life cycle support

-Experience with workstation and server hardware installation, maintenance, board replacement, and cable switching

-Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting

-Knowledge of system development, software maintenance, and ancillary functions

-Knowledge of Cyber defense compliance, the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and accreditation services

-Ability to perform onsite service center support
