Mission Command Systems Trainer

Key Role:

Serve as an instructor responsible for preparing and delivering Mission Command Information System (MCIS) training. Serve as a subject matter expert who provides technical expertise and system operations support at a Mission Training Complex and client sites. Develop, modify, validate, and deliver training plans and programs of instruction, including curriculum, lectures, over-the-shoulder coaching, and computer-based training aids. Maintain technical and tactical proficiency with the software and training support packages (TSP) for MCISs in support of live, virtual, constructive, gaming integrated architecture training events. Assist with exercise and classroom site setup, teardown, and system configuration checks and testing. Participate in special projects and perform additional duties to support client requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with one or more Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, and Visio

-Ability to deliver operator-level training in a classroom environment per TSPs

-Ability to support training events in semi-austere environments as a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, including traveling up to 25% of the time

-Ability to perform work at a level consistent with the DOL standard of Medium Work which involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with conducting military training and training exercises

-Experience with command post operations, simulations operations, digital master gunner, battle staff operations, observer controller trainer, and exercise project officer

-Experience in working with or training on Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A), Division eXercise Training and Review System (DXTRS), Joint Capabilities Release, Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Joint Deployment Logistics Model, Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and system subcomponents, Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE), Night Vision Image Generator (NVIG), Virtual Battlespace Version 3 (VBS3), Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG), and Warfighters' Simulation (WARSIM)

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
