Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Develop and apply advanced software and systems methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems. Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects. Analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach and organize means to achieve solutions of complex technical problems. Conduct investigations and tests of considerable complexity. Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Provide technical consultation to technical staff or other organizations.


Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with providing modeling and simulation (M&S) development and test support for aircraft survivability research and development

-Experience in software engineering with a modeling and simulation, radar, electronic countermeasures, or communications

-Experience with RF and Antenna modeling and simulation

-Experience with hands–on laboratory and field work

-Experience with technical writing

-Experience with working in a research environment

-Knowledge of electronic countermeasures

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to develop, design, and implement an RF model system for field conditions in a laboratory settings

-Ability to perform RF front–end and antenna modelling

-Ability to assess RF performance with software

-Ability to perform ECM system modelling

-Ability to adapt the test system based on the program technical requirements, as needed

-Ability to adapt current and outside sourced models, as needed

-Ability to design test cases and scenarios for countermeasure testing

-TS/SCI clearance preferred

-MS degree in CS, Engineering, or Mathematics


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
