Navigation Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Provide navigation systems engineering support for GPS based satellite navigation and air traffic control and landing systems programs. Support navigation system installation and certification aboard the U.S Navy aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships, and potential shore-based installations. Assist senior personnel with collection of system, and sensor data and the analysis of data to verify defined navigation requirements. Investigate system performance and perform root cause analysis of anomalies. Present findings from analysis and support at client technical meetings. Produce technical documents, including reports, procedures, white papers and presentations. Collaborate and interact with subject matter experts in a team environment.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with navigation systems

-Experience with MATLAB

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

-Secret clearance

-BS degree in EE, Physics or Math

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Simulink

-Experience with Requirements Analysis

-Experience with Configuration Management

-Experience with software development life cycle

-Experience with data driven root cause analysis

-Knowledge of navigation systems, including GPS, GLONASS, and TACAN

-Knowledge of Landing Systems, including SBAS, GRAS, and SPN-46

-Knowledge of RF communications

-Knowledge of UNIX, C/C++, and Serial/UDP/TCPIP communication protocols

-Ability to be self-motivated

-Possession of excellent problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
