Network and Cybersecurity Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Apply expertise in Cybersecurity engineering services to conceptualize, design, and build secure technical solutions, including operationally viable and efficient applications, systems, architectures and infrastructures. Leverage security products and technologies to protect the organization’s systems and information and enable achievement of organization’s objectives. Advise on the design and innovative integration of Cybersecurity toolsets to enable more automated discovery, remediation, and alerting of network and device vulnerabilities as a means of improving the security posture while reducing manpower requirements. Analyze emerging technologies and designs and build architectures and solutions to enable the secure implementation of new technologies. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with standard Cyber vulnerability assessment and security tools, including ACAS, Retina, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, as outlined in the NIST 800-53

-5+ years of experience with VMware and Cisco networking or switching devices

-5+ years of experience with network architecture and databases, TCP/IP, VLANs, Cyber vulnerability remediation, and Cyber risk analysis

-Experience in reviewing system security audit logs and leveraging network scanning software to perform vulnerability or risk assessment analysis for the RMF, including maintaining vulnerability scanning tool compliance, such as the Host-Based Security System (HBSS) or Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and patch management, such as Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) to ensure IT staff pushes patches to all systems in an effort to maintain compliance with all applicable directives, managing system changes, and assessing the security impact of those changes

-Experience in interfacing with information assurance managers, including reviewing documentation, such as systems security plans (SSPs), risk assessment reports, C&A packages, and Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)

-Ability to research Cyber vulnerabilities and issues, develop and present solutions, and train clients on how to remediate

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree or 10+ years of experience with ISSO or ISSM Cybersecurity

Additional Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with Cybersecurity for space systems

-3+ years of experience with Cybersecurity architecture, including ISE, PKI, vCenter, GPOs, Certificates, Blade Servers, TACLANES, and VMware ESX 3.x, 4.x, and 5.x

-3+ years of experience with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) and Security Readiness Guidelines (SRGs)

-3+ years of experience with the Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) process, including scoring

-Experience with providing configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware and coordinating changes and modifications with the information system security manager (ISSM), security control assessor (SCA), and authorizing official (AO)

-Knowledge of applicable regulations, including DoD 8500.2, DoD 8510, NIST SP 800-30, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53 Revision 4, NIST SP 800-137, and CNSSI 1253

-Ability to produce high quality reports and recommendations for clients

-Ability to work both in a team environment and independently

-MA or MS degree in an IT, Cyber, or Engineering field a plus

-DoD 8750 IAT or IAM Level II or III Certifications, including CISSP

-Technical certifications, including Windows

-Completion of CANES, ISNS, or CISCO knowledge and virtualization training, including VMware or Hyper-V

Clearance:
