Key Role:
Design and document IP network solutions to meet end user requirements and integrate with existing enterprise infrastructure. Work with project team members to comprehend existing and emerging requirements and drive network designs, assist with vendor product analysis and evaluate suitability of products for meeting system requirements. Define and document design details for systems under development, including network addressing, network protocols, network interfaces, and security features. Document test cases to evaluate solutions against stated requirements, and diagnose network-based problems and factors affecting network performance. Maintain a shared responsibility of a lab-based test environment as part of a team of engineers, ensuring continuous operations, and support high quality documentation, including describing system design and functionality. Maintain accuracy of detailed network diagrams, and communicate progress regularly and participate in recurring project meetings with internal team and government clients.
Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience in designing, analyzing, configuring, and troubleshooting IP networks
-Experience with Cisco and Juniper platforms, including ASA firewalls
-Knowledge of routing protocols and other networking technologies: BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS, VRF, VLAN, IP Multicast, IP QoS, and IPSec
-Experience with analyzing network traffic with tools such as Wireshark or TCPDump
-Ability to support up to 25% travel to conduct / support test events and other work activities
-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, CS or Information Management
-CCNA or equivalent professional certification
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Windows Server technologies, including AD, DNS, and DHCP
-Experience with using VMware Vsphere or Vcenter
-Experience with network monitoring protocols, including SNMP, Netflow, and RMON
-Knowledge of existing DOD Network Services or Network implementations
