Network Engineer

Key Role:

Install, operate, and maintain all lab Tactical Network, formerly WIN-T and higher echelon transport equipment. Facilitate connections to remote sites and coordinate efforts with clients, as required and load all firmware and updates for Tactical Network systems. Load and validate all data products, perform functional routing, gateway, and performance testing of Tactical Network, and provide feedback on data product problems. Assist with test execution, analyze test plans and reports, and maintain a lab network backbone, including switches, routers, and firewalls and the Tactical Network's switches, routers, firewalls, and inter/intra connects. Deploy router and switch configurations and modify lab networking equipment to integrate with external facilities. Work with Tactical Network personnel to make modifications to baseline configuration files, as required by client findings, document network and updates as changes occur, and provide network diagrams and other documentation, as required. Troubleshoot customer support issues, network issues with client personnel, and external network issues as they arise.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Tactical Networks and WIN-T systems and architecture products

-Experience with Cisco, including Cisco IOS and NXOS, Cisco ISE, Cisco UCS networking and configuration, and Cisco ASA

-Experience with routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, and MULTICAST

-Experience with designing and implementing LANs and VLANs and network protocol analysis using Sniffer or wireshark

-Experience with VMware, including VMware networking

-Experience with Army software baselines and architectures

-Experience in working with Microsoft

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in CS or 8+ years of experience with supporting Army programs in an engineering capacity

Additional Qualifications:
-CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Security+ Certification or ability to obtain

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
