Operational Energy Acquisition/Requirements Analyst

Key Role:

Assist government procurement agencies to define proposals, including RFPs and qualify vendors. Apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support clients in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process, policy, and procedures. Devise innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation. Use quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction or mitigation approaches for improving acquisition or program planning, control, and execution.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in acquisition support with a focus on aviation-related projects

-Experience in interfacing with and briefing mid- to senior-level military officers and government civilians

-Experience with DoD budget cycles and congressional engagement on budget issues

-Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

-Ability to write high-quality assessments and briefings for a senior-level audience

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with headquarters Air Force or Major Command staff

-Experience with working on Mobility Air Force or Combat Air Force fuel efficiency issues

-Experience with the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) or the defense acquisition process

-Experience with process improvement tools and techniques

-Experience with project management

-Knowledge of energy-related subject matter

-Knowledge of energy policy development for a government or industry

-Ability to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and work in a collaborative team environment

-Possession of excellent analytical, leadership, research, and interpersonal skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree
