Operations Research Analyst

Key Role:

Support government analytic efforts with operations research, statistics, network analysis, nodal analysis, or other complex mathematical techniques to analyze DoD problems. Use software, data, and associated techniques to perform analysis and decision support. Generate special displays, charts, graphics, data pulls, comparisons, and other analyses. Perform archiving of study data and retrieve data from previous studies included in the archives. Conduct mathematical analysis. Transform study objectives into a mathematical or statistical methodology and include data requirements. Aide in the identification of data sources to meet data requirements and maintain and update the data in government systems.

Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with conducting research in support of OSD, Joint Staff analysis, or similar strategic level corporate or governmental analysis role applying analytic techniques to solve an operation or policy implementation-based problem

-Knowledge of a variety of analytical and computational methods, including classical and modern statistics, differential equations, and linear algebra

-Knowledge of a number of object-oriented programming languages and environments, including Python, Java, C++, C#, R, MATLAB, or Simulink

-Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and learn and apply new methods

-Secret clearance

-BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Additional Qualifications:

-Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance preferred

-MS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics preferred

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
