Planning Cell Leader

Key Role: 

Lead a cross-functional mission command element, including logistics, communications, intelligence, operations, and fires supporting a forward deployed commander and staff in a Combatant Command's area of responsibility. Analyze the development of real world scenarios and exercise plans to integrate Army, Joint, and multinational lethal and non-lethal fire and support functions to support offensive, defensive, and stability tasks based on the commander's guidance. Provide analysis and programmatic support for the development and implementation of command plans, programs, policies, and procedures for operational exercise and contingency plans support. Provide technical input on theater and Joint operations planning stages during deliberate and crisis planning phases. Assist with planning theater requirements for support and coordinate with Combatant Commands, Services, and Agencies for the allocation of requisite resources. Liaise between commands, represent the command at exercise, and plan conferences and events.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with supporting deployed commanders in Joint operations

-4 years of experience in a Division or Brigade Operations or Plans role or higher

-4 years of experience in working with multinational forces

-Experience with operating in a Joint planning environment
-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Graduate of the US Command and General Staff College or higher
