Program Manager

Key Role:

Manage the delivery of multiple project initiatives designed to enhance the services and level of support provided to the client. Maintain responsibility for the overall planning, organizing, directing, controlling and delivery of all projects prioritized in alignment with the client’s expectations and business needs. Ensure the ongoing process and system capabilities associated with projects and manage any changes required to meet and exceed the expectations established in project designs. Direct the activities of consultants, analysts, specialists, and sub-contractors and maintain responsibility for ensuring appropriate resources are allocated and maintained to facilitate the successful completion of multiple projects. Help develop and subsequently implement new projects, policies, and procedures for the departments to meet specific goals. Provide input to strategic decisions that affect functional areas of responsibility. Work with senior management to analyze the development of the annual budget.

Basic Qualifications:

-12+ years of experience with program management

-Experience with directing and controlling the activities of one or more large programs, including 100+ FTE

-Experience with providing oversight to staff at all levels

-Experience with using structured methods of problem-solving

-Experience in leading the development of strategic, operational, and tactical plans and defining opportunities for improvement for the client’s operations

-Ability to engage with senior level clients and lead internal and external client meetings and presentations

-Ability to develop and write technical reports, analysis, and whitepapers

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA)

-Experience with VA Transition Assistance Program (TAP)

-Experience in working with the US Army, US Navy, Marine Corp, or US Air Force as a support contractor

-Experience in EVMS

-Experience with standing up Project Management Offices
