Research Technology Protection Analyst

Key Role:

Work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment to analyze potential national security implications posed by forward-leaning research initiatives. Develop approaches for conducting high-paced research in an open, public-facing environment while simultaneously protecting sensitive information. Facilitate technical discussions with government program managers and subject matter experts to comprehend research topics. Conduct independent research to identify a world-wide level of interest and technical capabilities of other foreign governments and commercial organizations relative to the research activity’s technical discipline. Develop classification recommendations. Draft formal documentation, including classification guides, vulnerability assessments of businesses and organizations, periodic program security reviews, and counterintelligence notes.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) or counterintelligence analysis

-Experience with research technology protection (RTP)

-Experience with export control determination

-Experience with developing threat assessments for broad technical disciplines

-Experience with compartmented or special access programs

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in supply chain risk management

-Experience with Microsoft Word

-Ability to conduct independent research using various information systems and tools

-Possession of excellent organizational skills, including task tracking and file management

-Possession of excellent technical writing skills

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to thrive in a team environment

-MS degree in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
