Scientific Consultant, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as a scientific or technical consultant in biological or biochemical sciences, and work with world-class scientists in driving forward research efforts. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of organizations goals, create technical reports, present findings, track technical progress, develop technology program plans and perform other related tasks as required by the clients. Assist with technical program management, program development, and briefing materials for government Research and Development (R&D) efforts. Leverage consulting expertise to deliver high-quality work products to support projects, and guide the activities of others on a set of defined tasks. Support assignments offer with ever-increasing levels of responsibility and client interaction while deepening expertise. Prioritize deliverables and work independently with minimal guidance, and offer solutions, new ideas, identify opportunities to grow existing business or support firm wide initiatives. Interact regularly with clients and called upon to present work products to clients.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience working as an intern or in a research role

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

-Experience with scientific writing and scientific briefings and presentations

-Knowledge of scientific analytical processes

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in a scientific discipline, chemistry, biology, or physics

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for both technical and non-technical audiences

-Experience in working with government agencies

-Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment with diverse teams with various backgrounds

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Secret clearance preferred
