Software Engineer

Key Role:

Design, configure, implement, and deploy SharePoint custom solutions to support business processes using SharePoint 2013 out-of-the-box capabilities and SharePoint Designer 2013. Recommend improvements for and design organizational Web presence structure, and participate in and lead business solution design presentations and reviews. Provide peer feedback, mentoring, and technical support to other SharePoint designers and participate in design team process improvement efforts. Provide SharePoint and Web design technical support and mentor project team members, customers, and external stakeholders. Collaborate with customers, external support and technical teams to ensure SharePoint development efforts integrate with Enterprise SharePoint architecture and Web framework and define and plan SharePoint solution releases. Analyze and maintain graphics and branding used in Web based business solutions and other forms of organizational documentation and templates. Create and maintain project documentation, presentations, tracking, and task related artifacts in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Basic Qualifications:

-4 years of experience with designing and implementing custom business solutions using SharePoint 2013 and 2010 out-of-the-box capabilities and SharePoint Designer, configuring SharePoint sites, sub-sites and user permissions, including managing SharePoint site collections 

-3 years of experience with SharePoint tools in 2007, 2010, and 2013, including site definitions, Web parts, custom navigation, content types, including search features, master pages, site templates and page layouts, and SharePoint Designer

-3 years of experience with implementing permissions in SharePoint within a site collection and business solution designs

-2 years of experience in supporting an enterprise-wide instantiation of SharePoint 2007, 2010, and 2013 with site collection permissions

-2 years of experience with gathering customer requirements, leading customer process or requirements gathering sessions or technical exchanges, including defining and documenting processes, workflows, and requirements for future implementation in software components

-1 year of experience with using JavaScript and JQuery to develop Web parts, workflows, or applications within a Web based and SharePoint environment

-Knowledge of SharePoint content type-based workflows for the creation, routing, and management of documents in SharePoint

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree and 14 years of experience as a software engineer or 18 years of experience as a software engineer in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with JavaScript in a Web development or SharePoint environment

-Experience with project management in a software development environment

-Experience with Web site design and graphics development

-Experience with applying software control and change management techniques to software or systems development efforts

-Experience with general software or system engineering techniques

-Experience with defining, modeling, and identifying business processes and workflows

-Knowledge of SharePoint architecture, including managed paths, site collections, and sites

-Knowledge of the corporate instantiation of SharePoint within the client environment

-Knowledge of SharePoint metadata management mechanisms and approaches for process improvement or automation 

-Knowledge of operational software development, architecture, and governance methods

-Knowledge of general Web-based architectures and technology, and organizational development and design
