Strategic Communications Consultant

Key Role:

Deliver strategic communications to federal agencies supporting health and wellness communications, including in the areas of military or veterans' health. Support client and project teams by analyzing the development and implementation of innovative strategic communications in a range of areas, including strategic communications planning, program development, digital communications, materials development, media relations, campaign evaluation, and stakeholder outreach. Lead small teams in the implementation of communications plans and tactics. Develop a variety of clear and concise communications products and materials for internal or external audiences. Research subject matter to develop required communications content and materials. Support the client mission by applying creative problem-solving and entrepreneurial expertise, including ensuring the delivery of assigned tasks on time with excellent quality standards.  


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with health communications, marketing, public relations, digital strategy, social media, outreach, or stakeholder engagement

-Ability to lead small teams of staff members in the execution of key communications tasks

-Ability to interface with all levels of the company and client effectively

-Ability to communicate using social media and e-mail effectively

-Ability to work independently and in teams
-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in Communications, Health Promotions, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Affairs, or International Affairs


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in the MHS or VA

-Ability to display creative thinking, and provide innovative solutions to clients’ communications challenges and problems

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent organizational skills
-MPH, MHA, or MBA degree
