Structural Analysis Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate complicated and difficult mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems, and systems. Prepare design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentation and approval. Maintain responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development of new or improved product and processes. Investigate solutions to product and process problems. Consolidate results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects.

Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with one or more finite element analysis tools, including Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran, and Hyperworks

-1+ years of experience with one or more CAD programs, including SolidWorks, Unigraphics, CATIA, and Pro-E

-Experience with using hand calculation techniques as described by Bruhn, Roark, Maddox, and Peterson

-Experience with analyzing composite structures

-Knowledge of finite element analysis principles

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with airframe analysis techniques

-Experience with one or more tangent engineering fields, including heat transfer, CFD, electromagnetics and dynamics

-Experience in design and fabrication techniques related to composites

-Ability to learn and experiment and ability to perform work outside of field of expertise

-Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in an engineering related field
