Surface Maintenance and Sustainment Analyst

Key Role:

Serve as a senior navy program analyst with surface ship operations expertise. Leverage knowledge of Naval Operations (OPNAV) surface ship resource sponsors, DoD PPBE process, and surface ship maintenance, modernization, and sustainment activities. Work in a navy acquisition or participating resource manager program office, complex and demanding environment, and produce products with a short turn-around time period. Work on day-to-day activities, including interacting with navy program office leadership, uniform military personnel and government civilians, OPNAV resource sponsors, other support contractors, and original equipment manufacturers and industry partners. Assist with deliverable products, including PowerPoint briefs, whitepapers, financial spreadsheets and reports, correspondence, represent the program office at meetings and conferences, and performing related activities as required. Work with demanding clients, briefing senior navy uniform and civilian personnel, and working across large stakeholder communities.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with surface ship maintenance, modernization, and sustainment processes and activities, including OPNAV resource sponsor processes and activities, and analyzing required resources against current and future gaps

-Knowledge of Joint Fleet maintenance manual, DoD 5000, PPBE process, and Navy sparing and maintenance modeling and resourcing

-Ability to show proficiency in PBIS and Ship-main, Microsoft Office Suite, including developing budgets and spending plans

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or business and management

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with shipboard operations as a naval officer or shipyard activities as an engineering duty officer

-Top Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or operations and management

-Certification: Project Management Professional

 Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
