System Administrator, Mid

Key Role:

Support systems administration for an Air Force based system record for the management of critical asset information. Work with system to support and manage the availability of infrastructures, assets and related dependencies and capabilities deemed critical in the execution of strategic DoD missions. Maintain responsibility for administration, updating software and hardware, and troubleshooting issues for an Air Force system. Leverage specialized knowledge of operating systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, triage, and hardening, and monitor infrastructure and operating system level services. Complete comprehension and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. Evaluate current architecture and recommend software and hardware enhancements, build, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure up-grades, diagnose and correct computer system issues. Assist with information assurance related tasks, including remediating Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Scan results, running Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Scan, and attending base-wide system administrator meetings.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience in performing system administration duties and remediating ACAS Scan Results, running SCAP Scans, and working with STIG checklists and STIG viewer for a classified network

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with VMware or Cisco Server

-MCSA: Windows Server Certification

-Security+ preferred

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
