System Administrator, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as a system administrator to an intelligence community (IC) client and administer special access program (SAP) IT systems for a client division. Manage both the physical and virtual aspects of the division's multi-domain computer network architecture consisting of multiple local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the client enterprise. Manage the organization’s servers and desktop equipment, including ensuring e-mail and data storage networks work properly. Ensure all servers are maintained in accordance with proper security policies and upgrades are accomplished within a reasonable time to ensure efficient operation. Design and install all network hardware and software and make needed upgrades and repairs, maintain network and computer system security, and ensure all systems are operating correctly. Deploy new users to a network, assign and update security permissions on the network, and train users on the proper use of hardware and software.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in working with Microsoft Windows server operating systems

-3 years of experience as a systems administrator or network administrator

-Experience with Linux

-Ability to handle complex multi-site and system troubleshooting successfully and prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, including handling multiple assignments from conception to completion on time

-Active TS/SCI clearance required; willingness to take a polygraph exam

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working for the IC

-Experience with Radiant Mercury

-Experience with Windows Enterprise Active Directory architecture, VMware virtualization, and EMC Avamar or Unity preferred

-Experience with Nutanix

-BA or BS degree preferred

-Security+ or other IAT Level II Certification
